Each workshop explores a specific facet of motivation in the learning environment and considers the differences between ‘wanting learning’ and ‘needing learning’. Fostering a culture that promotes learners ‘wanting’ to learn.


Dyslexia as the 6th Learning Style
This 4 hour workshop is designed for teachers / trainers who are working with vocational learners (may be the workplace or training environment) who may or may not have been diagnosed with dyslexia. It aims to consider dyslexia, not as a disability or in a negative way, more something that can be explored to enhance the learning experience for all.

Developing effective learning environments
This is introductory 4 hour workshop looks at your role and responsibility as a teacher/trainer in creating a learning environment. You will re-visit Kolb’s Learning Cycle looking at ways in which you can develop a greater awareness of the needs of your learners; explore emotional intelligences and their practical application; and consider the latest in thinking around learning styles and their role in developing a learning environment.

How to promote active learning: Motivation
This 2 day workshop focuses on exploring motivation; the importance in a learning environment; and how teachers/trainers can tap into motivation as a learning tool. You will explore intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and develop some useful insight into different motivational theories. Ultimately, you will develop useful approaches to use as teachers/trainers on how to recognise motivators for learners. You will look specifically at the age ranges of 14 – 18 and adult learners. This workshop will require access to learners, as there is an element of action learning.

How to promote active working/learning: Managing behaviour
This 2 day workshop focuses on exploring motivation as a mechanism for managing behaviour; why is it important in the learning environment, and how can teachers/trainers tap into motivation as a managing behaviour tool. We look at different approaches to managing behaviour in the workplace and learning environment from distraction to attraction. This workshop is intended for individuals who need tools and skills to develop their workforce and/or learners to their true potential.
This workshop will require access to the workforce and/or learners, as there is an element of action learning (2 x day over 2 months).

How can differentiation support active participation
This 2 day workshop explores approaches to engage learners in their own learning, encouraging greater participation. You will examine what differentiation is through the lens of Kolb’s learning cycle and then consider the 3 lens approach to participation in an innovative collaboration of practice. This workshop is ideal for anyone who is in a training/teaching role and wants to develop their existing skills, to enable a more inclusive approach.

Developing your professional practice
Book a one to one observation of your practice and receive constructive feedback, along with a personal development plan to enable you to develop and improve as a trainer/teacher. This observation is not Ofsted graded, however, you will gain an insight into your strengths as a teacher/trainer as well as being establishing areas that can be improved to enable you and your audience to get the most of your delivery.

Linking learner’s learning with developing own professional practice
This 1 day workshop is designed for teachers/trainers who are professionally qualified and are seeking to enhance their practice. The workshop is highly interactive and requires a certain level of critical thinking skills and access to other learners. The workshop explores four core areas of teaching practice:
the need for professional development, what does professionalism look like and how to develop professional knowledge when in practice
inclusive practice and learning to teach in a learner centric environment

Reflective Practice
This 4 hour session is intended to provide you with the opportunity to improve your performance through self-reflection and experimentation with new ways of thinking.
