A knowledge only qualification (made up of 1 unit) is perfect if you are starting your journey as an internal quality assurer, managing people who are involved in assessment or, if you think you might like to become an internal quality assurer. This qualification is completed through a blended learning approach.

Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (City & Guilds)
This 2 unit qualification replaces the V1 and is intended for those who are responsible for maintaining the quality of assessment processes within an organisation or training centre. You will demonstrate your knowledge of internal quality assurance as well as carrying out planning, monitoring and supporting of assessors within your workplace. To be able to complete this qualification, you will need 2 assessors who are actively assessing others (at least 2 candidates each).

Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (City & Guilds)
This qualification has been developed for practitioners who lead and manage internal quality assurance, and are responsible for a team of internal quality assurers and assessors. You will be responsible for managing workloads, planning, monitoring and supporting assessors within your workplace, as well as the centre by liaising with external auditors and organisations.

External Quality Assurance
Award in Understanding the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (City & Guilds) - Partnering with C&G (£350 - 2 day event, plus £350 to complete the qualification - £700 in total)
This programme will provide knowledge, understanding and practical opportunities to explore what an external quality assurer (EQA) does to monitor a centre approved to deliver qualifications. You will consider the fundamental aspects of the EQA role as well how they maintain good practice in relation to legislative and regulatory requirements. Following the two-day training event, you can then sign up to complete the one unit qualification.
